Understanding global business is simpler than you think.

It doesn't matter if the global business is airlines or oil, banking or tuna fish canning, the idea is always the same:

Let’s consolidate more wealth into fewer hands at lower cost.

Global executives piously justify the whole thing using the three words "serving shareholder interest." To give credit where it's due, therein lies some truth. Global executives tend to be major shareholders with abundant self-interest. The problem is that customers and employees went off executive radar two and a half decades ago, and haven't been spotted since.

Criticize the global economy and shrill cries of "protectionism" ring, especially if you live abroad. Here in the United States, critics of globalization are more likely to be dismissed as liberal Democrats or simply naive. Either way the problem is the same. The global economy sounds sexy and doesn't work. Need proof? Just ask your coworker how much they're paying for gas and how much their salary's gone up in real dollars in the last ten years.

This is crap, and it has to stop on our watch. To that end, we seek to inform and empower Members & visitors on this Award Winning, ever-so-slightly irreverent web site.
