Fast Breaking News from Local 1782 PCE – NOV ‘09
FOR IMMEDIATE POSTING
The members present at the membership meeting held on Wednesday,
November 4, 2009 voted and carried the following:
• Voted for Lost Time for Union Officers and Members in the amount of
100hrs or less to do regular monthly union business.
• Executive Boards recommendation to purchase three desktop computers
for the Local Lodge Office to replace the current outdated computers in
order to conduct regular union business for the membership with a
maximum amount for $2000.00.
The author of the amended bylaw proposal referring to Article V Section
5 withdrew the proposal; therefore, there was no second reading.
Laura Halliday and Ann Clifford thank the membership for voting to send
them to attend Leadership I Classes in October. The experience was
educational and very rewarding.
The Women’s Committee under the direction of Brenda Schaumkel will
sponsor a clothing drive to help those families in need on November 20,
2009 at the Union Hall, 1511 Rollins Road. Anyone seeking information,

The District Lodge 142 Election Re-run for General Chairperson of
Continental Airlines Flight Attendants and ExpressJet Flight Attendants
will be held December 2nd at 1511 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA. Polling
times will be held from 9:00am until 5:00pm.
Our next membership meeting is December 2nd at 4pm – those members
present will be asked to vote on the following issues:
1. Executive Board recommends spending up to $1000.00 for a Local Lodge
1782 Appreciation Event to be held following the Membership Meeting
February 3, 2010.
